I have recently upgraded my pc. I installed the ASUS P5B Deluxe. After installing the Windows XP SP2 and all the drives, one devise could not be detected and I do not know what it is. The device ID is below.

PCI Device

PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_284B&SUBSYS_81EC1043&REV_02\3&11583659&0&D8

All I know that this is a PCI device. The only PCI devices I have are these and all detected properly:

1. Sapphire RADEO X550 PCI-E
2. SoundBlaster Live.

Any ideas what it is and what driver I need?

go online and get the most up to date drivers from the ASUS website... i'd also go to soundblaster and ATI for the most recient drivers for those as well.

I have the latest drivers for the MOBO, however because the card is about 5 years old I am not sure if there are new drivers for the SoundBlaster. I know it is SounBlaster, but do not remember which one.

u could download a freeware program called sandra or everest, these programs will tell u everything about your pc including unknown devices

Thanks for the suggestion.

Installed Everest and found the devise in 1 min. Turns out it was a Dolby Digital Onboard Sound devise that I was not using it. So I disabled it in the mother board and the problem was solved.
