Toshiba Start Up Issue

Hello everyone:

I have seen this issue show up quite a few times, on this forum, and others, and this time, its happened to me. Heres the run down:

Toshiba Satellite 1805

Bootup Error:

PXE-E61: Media test failure, check cable

Insert system **** in drive.

Well, i figured the hard drive had died, and that it was booting straight to a network, but after check the BIOS, it's still there, all and well. Any ideas?

pull out the HD and run couple anti-virus programs on a different system .
might be couple bugs

Yes in fact the BIOS is trying to boot from the network card. Try resetting to factory settings, save end exit.

Try that goodluck.

Ive tried restoring to factory settings, no luck. As far as running an anti virus program, it would be difficult to imagine a virus on the laptop, as it hasnt been connected to the internet in 3 years.

Help.
