So in my BIOS it's showing two different temperatures, one for the CPU, at 80 celsius, and the other for the MD at 32 celsius.

I just overclocked my nvidia video card, and was wondering if I should be worried about the latter one. Is there a website that displays the normal ranges?

Thanks, Jake.

your cpu is not at 80c.

Both Speedfan and BIOS said so. Both of them can't be wrong. Intel and NVIDIA are known for running at higher temps. I seem to have resolved the problem though- a program called cpuidle got it down to 50C. I'm also trying out CPUcool, and a couple progs called Rain and Waterfall that I found over at Majorgeeks.

My computer used to do this once in a while. Start it, look at temp program, and it would say 79*C. Then say like 20*C after I restarted.

I up-dated my BIOS, and it now shows correct temps.
