I just bought a Viewsonic VA902b lcd 19inch 8ms monitor, and when I am viewing a black screen there is a good deal of backlight bleeding on the top of the screen and tiny bit of it on the other sides. There also appears to be a section of the screen towards the middle that is brighter than the rest of the screen. When I am not on a black screen I cannot notice the issue too well, but I can tell that colors are less saturated on the extreme sides. I have no dead pixels, and the screen is very bright. I bought it from a local Comp Usa and don't want to go through the embarrasment of return if my problem is normal.

I have to be in a very particular spot to see it at all. I don't think it's much of an issue. The only thing i'm worried about are the sides.

Thanks for the input. I am just trying to figure out if backlight bleeding is a common problem or not. If there is not at least an 80% chance of the problem being much better it's not worth it to me.
