Computer Hangs Sometimes...

well i dont know when it started but everytime i start my computer and when i load up all my programs i notice that the red thingy is always on...i think its the cpu not sure...

well when all of my programs loaded up i start mozilla and it freezes and hangs...and can do anything not even ctrl_alt_delete...so i have to restart my computer and does it again...but there would be times it would work just fine...

my pc specs are:
gateway 310 xl
pentium 4 2.6 ghz
80 gb hd
512 pc2700 mb ram
jaton geforce 5700le 128 mb pci
windows xp home w/ sp2

program that load on start are:
zone alarm firewall
kaspersky antivirus
webroot spysweeper
window blinds

well i had those program for a long time and it never caused a problem...well now i have a problem but not sure what it is...i even tried registry repair, optimizing, cleaning up, etc...

please help...

might be a dieing RAM or u just need to defragment ur HD

Also run a spyware and virus scan.You could have something running in the background. Try to start your computer in safe mode and see how it runs if its running faster without hanging it wont be hardware. So if thats the case you will have to find out whats running in background.
