1 Gig or 2 Gig?

Ok so im deciding on what to get for my computer. I know that I want to get mushkin memory but i dont know if I want to get the Redline XP2-8000 and only get 1 gig or get 2 gigs of the XP2-6400. I only have so much money and I dont know what would be better.

Uhm... are you sure your motherboard supports 1000Mhz DDR2? Not many boards on the market do (you'll probably need to overclock). Otherwise, go with the 800Mhz ram. As for 1GB or 2GB, you won't notice a lot of difference unless you do graphic design or stuff like that. So my advice would be to stick to 1GB for now, and upgrade later.

I would go with 2 gigs. Its good for gaming and upcoming games like Crysis will probably need it more.

I would go with the 2 gig at a slightly lower frequency as 2 gig of 800htz mem should outperform 1 gig of 1000htz mem since it is such a small difference in speed.

Go with the 2 gig.

Even if the board doesn't support 1000MHz, it will give you more headroom if/when you overclock.
