Hey guys, building my first PC soon and before I go to town ordering parts off Newegg I thought i'd get some opinions on my specs.

CASE: Looking at the NZXT Nemesis Elite Aluminium Mid-Tower Case
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E6600(Plan to do some overclocking)
POWER SUPPLY: OCZ GameXStream 700W
MOTHERBOARD: Asus P5W-DH I975X
MEMORY: 2GB PC6400 DDR2/800 (Should I go with 4 sticks? I've heard Conroes run better with 4)
VIDEO CARD: ATI Radeon X1950XTX
HARD DRIVE: Western Digital Raptor 150GB 10,000RPM 16MB Cache
SOUND: Creative Labs X-FI XtremeMusic 24-BIT PCI Sound Card
CPU COOLER: What would you suggest?

Operating System: Microsoft® Windows XP Home Edition w/ Service Pack 2

As I mentioned earlier, i'll be buying most if not all my parts off Newegg.

Any suggestions? Things you would change? Oh, and for as far as Monitors go, I've been looking at the SAMSUNG 940B http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16824001067

save yourself the money and get either the 7900gtx or 1900xtx

I suppose that would be smart, considering DX10 is right around the corner. But i'm tempted to get the 1950XTX anyway, since it'll be over a year before I even consider upgrading to Vista/DX10.

Speaking of ATI cards, what's up with all the different namebrands? I've heard about this, but the newegg listings are ridiculous. Are you really just buying the label or is there an actual difference in cards like the price ranges suggest?

Here's a list of the 1950XTXs:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...X1950XTX&Submit=ENE&N=0&Ntk=all&Go.x=0&Go.y=0

And the 1900XTXs:

I'm wondering about the same thing honestly, about the different brand listing of cards with the same chipset.

Well you have a pretty nice system there everything looks ok. and to answer your question you dont need to buy a cpu cooler it comes with the cpu
