I'm thinking of buying a computer with a Intel® Core™ Duo Processor T2700 (2.33GHz, 2MB L2 Cache, 667MHz FSB) in it. I'm not really up on the latest processor stats and i'm wondering what that speed "translates" to in terms of P4 speeds.

Thanks

It's just a low power dual core processor, they make small form factor desktops out of them and Apple used them in the iMacs, until they upgraded to Core 2 Duos.

And if it's for a laptop, I have a MacBook Pro with a T2600 (2.16Ghz), and it is BLAZING fast. I can't imagine what it'd be like at 2.33Ghz. :)

Okay I can ... It would probably be something like my desktop, just slightly slower. :p

SuperPI is a benchmark that will calculate a certain number of digits of pi. The standard benchmark is 1 million digits, and the T2700 will do it in about 25 seconds. To put it into perspective, an FX-62 takes like 28 seconds.

Edit: Beat you uzi9mm :p:p
