Disc Drive?

Only for specific cd's my drive will not recognise them. My comp isnt old and im not sure what is causing it, i mean most cd's will work and yet the ones i want simply dont.

My drives a MATSHITA DVD-RAM UJ-830S, DVD/CD-ROMS
Im trying to install The Battle For Middle Earth Cd's again.
And also it wont recognise CDR-80's.

did you buy the drive seperatly or did you get as part of the computer like a an OEM product? There might be an update available for that

It could be a compatibility problem, since drives don't always work 100% with all disk. Also, check for any damage on the disk. You could try to update the firmware for the drive, but there are RISK to it.

Are you using a laptop? From searching around this drive seems like it's from a laptop.
