Sunbeam Fan controller

I have a sunbeam chromatic fan controller. Its installed and is working but I have a problem. My fans are all 4 pin molex wiht only two wires coming out of the fan. I bought the adaptors to turn it into 3 pin to hook up to the fan controller. I know the fan controller wont read the fan speed but it wont control any of the fans. I plug them in and there all on 50% power. The screen doesnt say that i have any fans but yet they are plugged in. I know they arent going to show the rpm's. But shouldnt it control the power to them?

I assume you've made sure it's at the right polarity? Is it supplying the correct voltages?
