I need my hard drive to be C:\ for certain installations to work (AMD64 dual core drivers). My hard drive was originally designated H much to my anger, because I now had to buy a new hard drive. Does anyone know how I can assign specific letters to my hard drive?

You can go to Control Panel>Administrative Tools>Computer Management. In there go to Disk Management on the left side, then you see a list of drives on your computer. Go to the one you want to change....right click and pick Change Drive Letter and Paths. Then click Change, and pick any letter you want...in your case, C.

that doesn't work it gives me an error about not changing the system or boot volume. Is there any other way I can maybe in boot setup before windows?
