love my widescreens (echo echo echo) but i gotta give it up.

it moves all the silly who killed who and who is chatting what to your periphiral (sp?) vision so you only really see it if you care about it enough to glance to the side.

i was getting ticked at my old 18" playing dod:s and i couldnt even see straight ahead because of the previous life's stats on top of chat and the kill list crowding the other corner... i'd have to stand there for a minute untill the stats faded.... come on i dont have time for that crap! GIMMIE THE WIDESCREEN!!!

make sure you have a big desk if you go for dual widescreens

my two 19" monitors are roughly 35" wide side by side.

all the wide screen monitors i have seen hyave bad contrast ratios and horible refresh rates unles u spend like 500% on oen and ur still only getting 7ms refresh rate id wrather spend 299 on the new veiw sonic that has an amazing contrast ratio and a refresh rate of 2ms

I've played 12ms gaming and it's not that bad. When I play on my dad's 8ms LCD it's looks just fine.

I've been looking at this one:

I hardly call 700:1 and 6ms "horrible"
Or perhaps this one:

I would never go over 12ms if your gaming and 8ms is just fine. I hardly noticed any difference from 2-8ms (i was at compusa looking at monitors they so happened to have an 8ms and 2ms next to each other playing a movie and I started up the doom 3 demos on both and still don't recall any ghosting).
