I should know this, but I don't. :( I'm currently running windows XP Home Edition SP2, it's installed on my WD Protege 80GB HDD. I have 2 HDD's in this computer, and I am wanting to install Windows XP Professional.

Questions : 1. Can I install Windows XP Professional on my WD Caviar SE 80GB HDD, and be able to have a dual boot? (Stupid question.) :( Reason for me asking is because I'm not sure with the whole "upgrade or clean install" complications.

2. Can I take the Service Pack 2 from my Windows XP Home, and intergrate it into a Windows XP Professional disk?

1. yes you can;you can use also a boot loader software for much flexibility
2. I know that the Service Pack CD is for both version of Windows, not one for Home and one for Professional

Hello,

Windows XP will automatically create entries for both operating systems in the boot file, for you to choose which OS to boot into.

why dont you just back up everything onto the other hard drive and put XP Pro on your Primary drive, it would seem simpler to me (but its your computer i guess)
