SOUNDCARD Question.. im lost

i dont understand... it says 7.1 but i only see 4 plugin holes in the back. Im going to hook up 5.1 speakers to it btw. how will i hook that up if only has 4 ports
Also, i heard a review where a con was "No mic" does that mean i cannot use a mic when using this card? even though i can now with my onboard.


Another question for soundcard:
What is the next step down (or just cheaper solution) for Creative Sound Blaster Audigy2 ZS SB0350 7.1 (70 bucks)

If you will notice, on the back of the speakers, there are only three jacks, plus a plug-in for the power cord.

it depends on your speakrs as well, they come with up-mix decorder to send sound in 7 channels, though you'll be using 4 connectors anyway,

1 = center X 1
2 = front X 2
3 = Middle X 2
4 = Rear X 2

its 7 all together , woofer takes the 0.1 part of 7.1

and for using MIC, i think it'll have external connector to stick in front audio ports, if not, then ZS is the answer for Audigy2 chipset. as i remember it came with 6/7 ports at the back.

well how loud do u actually have to bump a speaker before the sound gets scratchy? with onboard right now, its pretty high...
