Problem with USB thumb drive

I've got a PNY attache 64mb (I know, its old). I've had it for a few years, used it maybe a couple times on my old computer (it worked then), but am now trying to use it with my new laptop. Every time I plug it in Windows says it does not recognize the drive. I checked the PNY site and it says it is perfectly compatible and there are no drivers to download as they should install automatically. I'm lost. Any suggestions?

It might be dead.

Or the contacts may need cleaned (use a Q-tip and alcohol).

You may need to format the drive on another computer.

Man I am stupid. I just uninstalled then reinstalled and now it works fine... oh well, thanks for the quick reply Trotter.
