This might turn out to be a dumb question, but I'm not very computer literate.I just bought a brand new laptop off of ebay. It is an Acer Aspire 3610. It came sealed and brand new. It is supposed to have a 60 GB hard drive. However when I examine the c drive it says it has a total size of 26.1 Gb. There is a D drive under Hard disk drives that also has a 26.1 Gb capacity. So my question is, is there 2 hard drives with a total of 52 Gb in which case where is the 60? or do i have 26.1 Gb of space. and if it is 2 drives and I save music or videos or something can I save it to either drive? Thanks in advance for any help

There are 2 30GB hard drives.

When a hard drive is labeled 30GB it means 30,000,000,000 bytes
Actual GB are more than just 1 billion bytes.

Acer always make 2 partitions for their hard drives, this is the best thing they do to save data.

anyway, 8GB went into partition :) so whatever u bought, its true (dont leave negative feedback to the seller). and congrats on New laptop.
