Automatic Shutdown

Recently I have been playing a lot of DDO. I have been playing the game for about 2 months. But during the last week, I will be gaming and my computer with out warning shuts off. I have noticed that my CPU seems to be running hot when I am gaming(about 80*C), would staying at that temp or going beyond it shut my system down automatically? If not what else might cause this? It has only happened while playing DDO.

80*C is too hot for a processor. I think shut off is at 85 for that CPU.

Try re applying the thermal paste - remember you only need a boiled rice sized blob. Use something that is 90+% alcohol such as isopropyl.
