Very Very Nice. That motherboard looks friggin' sweet.

Although? Why not go Intel Core Duo 2? Interested in what others think about AM2 choice over CD2.

And do not go with a modular PSU. Go with an uninterupted PSU.
550w - 700w

Antec, PCP&C, Seasonic, Fortron Source

Can anyone recommend a few specific PSUs that I can take a look at?

Yeah I think that the AM2 will be sweet, I do not know anyone who has an am2 processor so I want to see how it stacks up first hand.

i went with a core 2 duo. I don't know what your spending on that 5200, but i could almost garuntee that for the same price youll get a way better chip if you go core 2 duo. the lower models can compete and beat any AMD processor on the market when overclocked. And they overclock like beasts.

why not a modular??? I have the Ultra X2 and its amazing... wires are clean and neat... plug in what u need.... and steady constant power, i see no reason not to go with a modular....

keep in mind the G80/R600 are going to require tons of power... like manufactures are recommending >700W

can u show me links to these power consumption??

from my knowledge the more powerful these cards get, they also r getting better power usage...

i was actually lowballing, its more like >or= 1kW

search G80 and R600 in wikipedia (i know its not reliable, but whatev)

the generation after these will probably be more efficient (my guess) but right now they're just trying to make dual core gpus possible and to **** w/ efficiency.

yay! 400 posts! :D
