Flickering screen

Ok well I recently lost all my data on my computer due good old microsoft crashing it straight into a tree. So I reinstalled the OS which is XP home and I installed the video driver but the problem is when I scroll up and down the screen flickers like crazy like not because of loss of power but like jumps up and down when I scroll. Ive had this happen before and reinstalled windows to get rid of it but is there any other way to stop the flickering without reinstalling the OS. If you curious the graphics card is an Aopen Geforce 6600 Ultra pci-e 256 mb is there any way to stop the flickering please help anything is greatly appreciated.And the copy of XP is not registered yet.

Figured the problem out just had to reset bios now every thing is fine and im running good again. Thanks
