Which Graphics card is better?

hey again its me.

while looking through my local computer stores site for cpu's in my other thread, i looked at graphics cards. i want to upgrade my computer that is suitable for most new games and new games to come.

The 2 Graphics cards i have in mind are these 2 :

1 ) X1800GTO - 256MB - PCIE - Power Colour Graphics Card - DDR3/PCIE/Dual DVI - $309

2 ) Innovision Graphics Card - GeForce 6800-XT PCI EXPRESS 256MB(256BIT), With DVI+TV DDR. Massive cooling system, high speed, and great performance. Ideal for high-end graphics design. - $262

i was going to go with nvidia, but i have an ati at the moment and its lasted pretty well with the games i have now ( half life 2, Day of Defeat: Source ) etc so yeah. which one would you prefer?

err.. are those prices canadian? 262 seems high for a 6800

cant you get 7 series mvidia near to price of ATi?

better be canadian... you could pick up a 7900GT for near the 6800's price if that's USD

hey err its all australian $. the 7900GT's are around $600-$850.

anyway price doesnt matter. which one would be better for gaming and all use such as WMP etc?

X1800GTO is way better than 6800xt

a stock X1800GTO about the same speed as an oc'd 7600gt

hmm ok thanks ill buy the X1800GT. btw then wouldnt an o/c 7600GT be better to buy than the X1800GT stock?
