Question about 5.1 Speakers

Hey wassup everyone! I am thinking about buying a sound card and the klipsch 5.1 speakers, but how would I set them up for surround sound in my room?

I know I dont want wire stretching from one side of my room to the other?

So is it worth trying to do that or just leave all the speakers on my desk?

Would be nice if you guys gave me some advice or link some pictures of your setup! =]

Also whats the difference between these two?

Both of those links are broken, and I don't know much about X-Fi's. But I would say that you should definitely try to hide the wires instead of having all of your speakers on your desk. It sounds much better.

... you don't wanna leave them on you desk... paint the wires or have them go along corners of the room.

klipsch r really nice brand speakers and if u want the full quality of there speakers, ull need to run wires. i used to have 5.1 speakers myself and i just stuck the wires under the carpet but if u have hardwood floor.... too bad... lol

The difference between the platinum and xtrememusic is that the xtrememusic does not have that front drive bay thing. BTW look at my sig
