I don't work with hardware that much so I don't have many screw-ups, but once I opened up my old computer, took out one of the two sticks of ram, put it in my brother's computer, and then when I put my computer back together, it wouldn't turn on. Worked on it for about 5 consecutive hours and couldn't figure it out. It was weird but it was an old computer so it didn't really matter.
