A couple of days ago, I was working on the registry of my Win XP laptop. When I restarted it, there was nothing on my desktop, not even a start button. I think I corrupted Win explorer. Anybody have any solutions?
Run the System Restore: When you're at the desktop, press ctrl+alt+del, select Task Manager, seletct File-New Task, type %systemroot%\system32\restore\rstrui.exe
Before doing that, press ctrl+alt+delete and go to New Task (Run) type in Explorer.exe and see if you can get the task bar and desktop to show, if not, try the other suggestions.
