I downloaded Everest to check temps, and my +12v line is 9.90volts!!!!!!!!!

Definately getting a new PSU this weekend.

that can't be accurate because i'm pretty sure the pc would not be able to operate under that much deviance. if at all possible you should check with a multimeter.....preferably with the power supply "jumped" rather than powering your pc.

I don't have a multimeter unfortunately.

But, suppose I get one - how do I test it?

Enter the bios on boot-up and check the voltage there.

Yeah, I wanna know how to check it with a multimeter. My dad said he can get his hands on one so.

jump ur ps, or turn the pc on, and use the multimeter on the yelow and the black next to it( THATS 12+, 12-)

My PSU has two yellows, and I can't see a black directly next to it. Will any black work? And will either yellow work?

And, so I just stuff the multimeter probe into the "hole" on the connector?
