I hit a key combo on accident the other day and now I can't get it back. I've uninstalled Outlook then reinstalled it but it is still there. What is the filename that saves my profile when I uninstall it? I need to delete that file so I get a clean slate or something. When I hit reply to an email it's showing the formatting it's using and it drives me insane. I've tried everything I know to turn it off to no avail.

try changing plain text in the toolbar to HTMl.

you should be able to change the formatting after that is complete.

edit: to get rid of the line feed symbols and such, click Veiw > toolbars > standard. then click the icon that looks like a backwards P

EDIT : ^^^ he got it first ;)

When you uninstall Outlook you need to delete the registry entries as well.

You can default your "Formatting" in the options menu... Don't remember which one it is though.

You can also try running outlook from the run line with the following switches :

/cleanprofile
/safe
/cleanviews

You can create a NEW outlook profile and link your old .pst / .ost's to it that way.... That should default your formatting issue.

I'm an idiot. I kept changing it to HTML, but I didn't go into the options to change the other settings. Thanks guys, much appreciated.
