Navaros I bought mine localy in Mississauga 2 weeks ago for $2100 included taxes
CPU Core 2 Duo E6600
Video BFG 7900GT
RAM OCZ Platinum PC2 6400 4-4-4-15
HD1 WD Raptor 74GB 10,000RPM 16MB Cashe
HD2 WD Caviar 250GB 7,200 RPM 16MB Cashe
DVD Plextor
Monitor Acer 20'' Widescreen
Mobo Asus P5N32 SLI SE
Heatsink Zalman 9500

PSU OCZ PowerSream 520W

Now if Ncix can beat that I'd b suprised

Look it up http://www.liata.com

And don't look for the prices that they have on website, they will give u totally different prices while in store and also u'll get some money off from their quote.

well ncix CAN beat that because they do price matching :p

(and he'll save the PST since NCIX is in BC)

anyways... i visit ncix nearly everyday.. and it seems like they've changed the way the site works in the last 3 or 4 days. to see the weekly specials, being signed in is not enough, you have to click on "weekly specials" in the top left corner and you see the specials there.... i presume this is just a phase or something...

ya but there is no point of getting a cheap conroe as a higher end amd wich would be cheaper may outperform it or he can get a cheaper intel but upgradabuility is dificult but i sugest a 7900gt for shure

I also can't find the "Weekly Specials" on NCIX when I sign in. :(

I asked the guy on the phone the other day about PST and he told me since they are shipping it to Ontario they would still gank me with the PST when I checkout. Apparently their website is automatically set up to add provincial taxes in based on the province where it ships to. Gotta love paying 14% sales tax. Yay for me.

Is there any way to use 3 IDE Drives with the ASUS P5W DH Deluxe (Hard drive, DVD Drive, CDRW Drive). From what I've read it looks line it only has one IDE port? Can I split that cable to account for those 3 IDE drives or would that cause a problem?

aliasaid, are you still gonna make a build for me at NCIX and if so what day would you do that on? :)

lol i was hoping that ncix would fix their whole specials thing but it still seems screwed up.. but anyways... i'll show you what kind of build i would do... i'll pick the main parts.. any accessories or w/e you can pick for yourself... oh and i also didn't do any price matching... be sure to check out other websites for price matching your components! these are good sites..

ok so this is one way to go about your build...

http://www.ncix.com/products/index.php?sku=18185&promoid=1061

http://www.ncix.com/products/index.php?sku=18512

total: $1895.84

only thing about that build is the ram seems way overpriced.. i know www.anitec.ca has some good gskill ram thats just as good for probably $100 cheaper. their site isn't working right now so i can't show you which ram, but go look yourself, look for DDR2 800 PC6400 4-4-4-12 RAM.

Thanks for the build and info, aliasaid. :)

Is it possible to use my current IDE hard drive in conjunction with that SATA hard drive?

I'd prefer to copy this hard drive byte for byte onto any new hard drive that I buy; it's a 120GB WD IDE hard drive. Would I have to buy another big SATA hard drive to use it in conjunction with the one you linked to?

I've read that if you have too much power you can fubar your system and I seen many people go with the 600W version of the PSU you linked to seemingly based on that belief, is there any truth to that "too much power" stuff? And if so would it affect the power consumption much if I stick with an IDE hard drive?

I noticed here it says:

The Radeon X1900XTX is discontinued and being phased out.

Hence I don't wanna buy a card that has been discontinued before I pay for it. What card should I buy instead?

Make sure you check anitec.com, a-power.com and cancomputer.com for price comparisons...ive noticed alot of higher prices at ncix....once a business gets really business and people stp shopping around they usually put there prices up.

Alias build is great..i would add a W.D. 250gb 16mb cache hard drive and i dont like that pi180 case...the front door is a POS, and wants to fall off...

Amd gt player said:
i suggest getting a cheaper cpu i know the intel core 2 duos rock i would love one but amd woul be cheaper and u could get maybe 2 bfg 7900gt for sli i know that at future shop u can get em for 250 it seems a litle cheap but u get a large rebate there its not worth getting a cheaper 7600 and get a new hd drive the most comon botle necking today is caused by slow hd so i sugest a raptor if possible in there 2 and u and after that u could have a beastly system

Would you just STFU!!!!!! truthfuly AMD is really sucking A$$ right now in the performance department. SO quit trying to get him to get a low performing CPU.

are you that ignorant that you cant see that intel is beating the h311 out of AMD. YOu can get a e6300 to OC to one of the fastest AMD cpu's.
