Intel feeling the heat from AMD

1.6Ghz Pentium M vs. Turion 1.6Ghz (I took a USB drive with SuperPI on it to BestBuy )

The difference shouldn't be that big, the Turion gets a 1m 10s SuperPI 1M. Why would there be that big of a difference?

sry abou the late reply General, but what i mean is AMD can pwn and intel (at least a couple of months ago anyway) cpu, where as the intels would have to go really high and sometimes not be able to bench because of being unstable

Are you joking? A Core 2 Duo @ 1.83Ghz is like the X2 5000+

There is no comparison, Intel p\/\/Nz0r3z AMD.

Two months ago doesbn't matter. Since the Core Duo came out, Intel wins in Mobile, and since then win in Desktop and Server computing.

General, have you ever played on a nice AMD system?

Yes, before I got this computer I had an Athlon 64 X2 3800+ @ 2.6Ghz, 2gb of OCZ "High Performance" DDR-400 on a DFI Lanparty SLI-DR w/ a 7900GT KO Superclocked, 2 x 74Gb Raptors in RAID 0.

I did like it, but I wanted faster. The Core 2 Duo totally pwnz0r3z it.

I still have it by the way, its for sale though.
