WIN XP - Can not do drive mirroring

I am setting up a computer. It has 2x 9 Gig Scsi Hard Drive connected via a SCSI Card. One of the hard drives contains the Windows XP Operating System.

I go into Computer Management, and under Storage --> Disk Management, I can see both 9 Gig Scsi Drives.
I have all ready converted them from Basic to Dynamic.
However when I restart the computer and sellect the hard drive drives to to set up Drive Mirroring, the option for drive mirroring has been greyied out.

How can I set up drive mirroring under Windows XP?

you have to set raid up independently of the os
