hard drive and DVD writer asking for drivers?

every time the system boots up, we get the "windows has found new hardware" pop up, the thing is is that i have formatted the new hard drive, and it works, same with the dvd writer, each and everytime we get it. help anyone?

When the window comes up, hit next a bunch of times. Should work.

we tried that, it cannot find the software, however in the device manager the devices are both working fine

Is there a question mark beside the device in Device Manager?

strangely, no, the hard drive is working fine but there seems to be a dvd burning issue with the sony dvd rw, I tried uninstalling the devices and re booting but to no avail, i am truly stumped!!!!
