So with this Windows Vista, it is supposed to give us fancy eye candy if we have high end graphics.
Whenever any eye candy is ran on my 7600GT, be it a 3D game or the Aquarium screen saver, the fan on the card kicks in.
So, is it to be expected that if the eye candy is always turn on in Windows Vista and utilizing dedicated graphics, will Vista constantly run my fan on the 7600GT and on all the other high end cards that everyone on this forum uses?

To answer your question yes. the fans will kick on and be used more often now with Vista and the GFX requirements.

But for me i have a aftermarket Fan installed on my card since i overclock it and i run the Fan at all times. This is to prtotect it and keep the card as cool as possible.

Unfortunately I have no room to add an aftermarket fan as I am using a Shuttle XPC case. Hence I am stuck with my stock fan.
