ok so i bought a 650w PS supply that turned out to be bad..ANNOYING SQUEELING SOUND and wouldnt boot with ALL my stuff hooked up.

Here is what i have

P4 2.4ghz
1GB ddr400
Geforce 6600 GT OC 128mb
Sound blaster audigy 4
ATI TV Wonder Pci (TV TUNER)
emprex dvd-rw 16x
WD - 80GB 7200 rpm (IDE)
WD - 120GB 7200rpm (IDE)
WD - 250GB 7200rpm (IDE)
WD - 76GB Raptor 10K RPM (SATA)
4 case fans
Artic Cooler CPU fan

I was running a 450W Hercules PS...minus 2 of those drives in list...and when ever i put my cordless mouse on charger(USB) my system would go into hibernate. weird i know.

So obvious i am NOT going to buy a CHEAP PS again. So what brand (medium priced or on sale at fry's) should i look for and what wattage.

thanks ALOT!!

Thermaltake is very good, that's what I've got. I wouldn't get any less than 550w just to be safe and have a little wiggle room. But I generally go overboard on psu wattage.

Looking at your specs, any 420+W PSU will be operating it. Although, I would recommend a 450-480W.
