VOTE regular vs Widescreen

Looks like I'm in the minority here. I had a 17" widescreen laptop and absolutely hated it. Games ****ed me off in that format. The only thing it was good for was to see 2 word documents side by side.

I've since gave the laptop to my bro who just started college and I bought a 19" LCD. Sooo much better than widescreen I will never go back to widescreen as long as they keep selling these things.

FYI I just got a Viewsonic VX922.

I've never used a widescreen monitor, but I imagine I would probably hate it...

I do a lot of photoshop work, widescreen would not work to well...

I have two 19" wide screen monitors.

They are really nice for multimedia purposes, but for office, photoshop, CAD programs etc you could really use the extra height thats available on standard flat screens.

my laptop is a 15inch widescreen and i like it.
however, i have a 17inch crt for my gaming computer and like that as well....
preference i guess.

I just did some reseach - 19" widescreen has 1047 m^2 area and regular 19" has 1136
