Motherboard and a new video card..

I just wanted to know, do you think a XFX 6800XT 256MB 256bit GDDR3 AGP8x could be handled on a asus a7v8x-x motherboard ?

Lol, that is what I was saying, but my uncle who builds computers said that he didn't know if it could handle it, because the GDDR3. I have no idea if that matters.
