Hi
I am just going to get my hands two old machines(3 years old). What is the best way to check them out their individual components.

can i just remove each component and put them in my old machine individually. some one told me if the RAM is bad, it can mess up the hard drive, is that true?

Bad Ram just won't let the Machine boot, It won't harm your HD. I guess ya can test each component separately in your PC if the Hardware is compatible with your existing Hardware. AMD vs Intel Processors, PC Ram vs DDR Ram, Mobo configuration Etc... Just turn on the PC's you're getting & see what happens. Let us know if they can boot up all the way or just hang. Good Luck Dude!!
