will i need a new PSU?

I have a x700pro and im lookin at a new card. The thing is that im not sure if ill need a new psu. (i dont have money)

I have a stock psu. I tryed calling gateway (i know i know) and they are very stupid. I tryed asking but they were like uhhhhhhh i dono.

Open the side panel and look for 12V and how many amps it has.

Also look for max output.

The best you could hope for would be a 300W or a 350W, but I doubt it's a 350.

The minimum for that card is 350, so you need to look at 400+. 500W would be your sweet spot.

sli is only when you buy two of them. Dont worry about the SLI, it just installs like any other gfx card.

I would go with a better brand. You don't want to cheap out on a PSU.

I suggest Forton, Antec, maybe rosewill.

if you only have $40, try the 430w thermaltake, comes prebraided

its only 430 peak watts though
