broken hard drive pin

In my infinite wisdom, I accidentally knocked a pin out of the back of my hard drive while connecting the IDE cable. I think it had gotten bent and when i pushed on the cable, it got knocked out.

I fear I know the answer to this, but is it possible to reinsert the pin? If not, can the whole pin setting be replaced?

I have some information on that drive that I REALLY need, is there anything I can do to get it off of there?

Yes u can replace a pin on the hardrive ... but it's not easy ... it's gonna need a lot of patience n' can be a pain setting it correctly..

Just hope that the pin is just bent n' not broken

any hints or suggestions? I have the pin and it doesn't appear broken. The part that goes in the drive is bent and curved at such an angle and direction that I can't figure out how to get it back. Ideas?
