Overclocking Athlon (quick reply plz)

I have overclocked my athlon and i am running test, is 55c to hot?
how hot should it get before damage is done?

55C is about the safe limit for 24/7 usage. What speeds and voltages are you runnig at? No damage ought to be done at that temps though.

2.71ghz@1.40v-1.44v

It hasnt hit 55c yet but it stays at 54c during benchmarks so i just assume some time it will hit 55c

Theres a program i have and it says TCase Maximum - 57c
i hope this isnt the die temp.

Download prime95 and make sure it can run 24/7 @ this temp.
