i find that pretty hard to believe. When it's 70F in my house my 4400 never goes below 30 idle when it's not OCd....

Also my mobo shuts the fan off at 25c.

Conroes are pretty thermal efficient..but they still produce heat.

10 bucks says its faulty readings. Lol

Oh and sliding the heatsink around I bet breaks the bond between the heatsink/cpu.
