Is the startup hard drive new? Bad sector might cause the problem. I had the same problem as you before and I found out there was one bad sector in my hard drive and it affected a dll and make windows can't start up. But I can start safe mode because it skips that dll, so you might take a look of your hard drive.

Well, It looks luike you need a new harddrive for startup. Get a smal one for startup and the other as a slave.

How can I tell if I got a defective hard drive?
I'm not going to buy a new hard drive because this one is brand new SAMSNUG 160GB SATA 3.0GB.

How about we check for Spyware, Malware and Viruses ?

Get some nice programs and run them, maybe u alreadsy cought something
Panda Antivirus
Lavasoft Ad-aware
Spyware Doctor

Start your computer in safe mode, then "Run" -> "msconfig"
select the "Boot.ini" tab and check "/SOS" on, click ok and it will ask u for restarting the computer. Restart it and start it up in normal mode, you might find out what driver is stucking the windows start up.
