error message

I was having a very annoying error message when I rebooted my computer it would say there was a problem with my a drive and to check the door ... well I don't even have an A drive installed ... well I just got my raptor drive in the mail today so I put that in as my ONLY drive and installed Win XP everything was fine no more message when I rebooted ... then I installed all the microsoft updates and when I rebooted I got the message again .. is there a bad file or something .. I don't think that it is harmful just very annoying
