I currently have a pc with the following specs

AMD athlon XP 2400+ (1994MHz)
Nvidia Geforce FX 5200 (128MB)
Windows XP
512MB RAM
and plenty of Gigs on the hard drive spare at the moment(120 ish)

I know its pretty old but I was wondering if i would get more for my money out of a processor upgrade or a Graphics card upgrade.

Any help appreciated

I would honestly say a whole new system, but If you don't have the budget for that, then I would have to say another 512mb ram stick (if you only have one) and assuming you have an AGP slot, say a 6600GT but that depends on what you do with it and what you WANT to do with it. You wanting to upgrade means you have something in mind... Enlighten us and we can help. :)

im looking to do some light gaming, ideally would like to beable to run games like oblivion. I know i wont get anywhere near those games top graphics setups but would like the games to be smooth at the lowest/optimised/fastest video settings.

Sorry to say this, but forget oblivion on high or medium settings without a new system :(, it really is a huge resource hog! If you upgrade your RAM and VGA card as we said, you will probably be able to run it smootly on low settings :)
