uncontolable restart

i had an amd athlon xp 2500+ and the idle temp would be 48c and the max i had it was 64c, any higher and it would restart, could be a heat issue, the cpu fan might be getting stiff, mine did and i had to replace it.

Here's a new development. I was able to get onto one of my partitions on my drive for a while. Eventually, I restarted the computer and it began doing the same old thing again. It seems that I can get around 1 successful boot-up but thats about it. Jcortes, Ill try that test if I can stay booted long enough to install it.
