Dell Inspiron 2650 notebook battery

Hello Everyone:

I have a Dell inspiron 2650 notebook, well I would say about two months or less back I bought a new battery from a vendor online, well since then I have noticed the battery is not keeping a very good charge since the first day I bought it. Why is the charging on these batteries from vendors are so bad?


Any idea's would be great

Didn't you hear? Dell's batteries are bad, and they're going on fire

Best thing to do is use the notebook like a desktop computer.

yes I know about their batteries going on fire, but mine didnt yet, and I dont leave my laptop on all the time.

And I dont have the money to buy a new advanced laptop so I need to make the best of what I got, and hope it doesnt happen to me, if it does then ill use my stepfathers old dell laptop until that one goes too, maybe ill be lucky and wont have that problem with this one.

Only time will tell

Maybe i should jump over to the original battery for awhile that battery was in this machine when my mom bought it, and ill just use it with the outlet. I'm wondering do this laptops work without the battery in them,like if you want to go off the outlet?

I didnt know crucial sells used batteries.

Question can these laptops just go off the outlet, and not have the battery in it
