which ram?

Don't mean to hijack this, but I'm finding DDR2 to be a little confusing. At what speed would DDR2 run on a 1:1 divider with a Conroe at 266MHz. I know of the DS3, 1:1 means the RAM isn't running at it's stock speed. Thinking of going over to a Conroe build, but just can't figure out what's up with DDR2 and dividers and such. Man, it's just not as simple as the whole 200HTT of the A64s! And is GEIL DDR2 PC6400 (4-4-4-12) any good?

3 would make a huge difference if you were overclocking.. otherwise if you are not.. there is no point in even getting these expensive rams... might as well go for value ram... if you can find any at ddr600+ speeds! haha

if you're familiar w/ bios then go with OCZ. (you have to manually set the speed and timings in bios but after that they OC great.

here's the OCZ i'd suggest for a DS3

OCZ2P8002GK well that's the model number just search that on newegg and it'll come up. it's got some bad reviews because of people not knowing how to set bios setttings but that's about it.
