Hi all

I have a Pentium III that has 256MB SDRAM and I want to upgrade, Can I upgrade to 1024MB DDRII? How do I know which memory type is good? anywhere I can read about it?

Thank you

you will have to find out what motherboard youhave. either open the case and look at the mobo itself, or run a program called CPUZ (google it) and it should tell you what mobo you have. once you find out look up the specs of the board and find out how much it can handle. it might only take 512mb (2x256) you will need to know that stuff first before you go wasting money on something that may or may not work.

I think Pentium III uses 168-pin type memory or SDRAM. And no you cannot upgrade to DDR2 ram, unless you change the mobo and processor. I'm not sure if Pentium III mobos can handle more then 512mb ram though, so 512mb could be max.
