Even if you dont overclock at all, you can still get the 580/1580 7900GT KO SuperClocked, and still have awesome performance. Overclocking a videocard is one of the simplest kind of softmods you can do to your computer though. You literally only move a slider from left to right and check stability by running a graphics-intensive test (3DMark05/06) at your desired clockspeeds.
SLI = Serial Link Interface. Thats just technical jargon that means putting two videocards (of the same kind) together. So you get to use 2 videocards instead of one. It only gives a 30%-50% performance increase with high-end videocards though.
