When im installing Windows XP Home SP2 everything goes fine until it starts copying files. When it gets to about 8% it says

Setup cannot copy the file: cinemst2.sys
To retry, press ENTER.
To skip, press ESC
To Quit Setup, Press F3

So i press enter it still doesnt work so then I hit ESC. Then it says
it cant copy Cpqdap01.sys so again i hit escape. Then it keeps doing it with files like Cyycoins.chm, Digras.chm. Then when it gets to driver.cab I get a blue screen and have to shut my computer off. Can someone help me?

The disc must be scratched. You need to get a new CD for Windows somehow, and use your previous product key.

I downloaded a copy of Windows XP Professional x64 Edition and burned that and got the same problem AND also i used nlite to make a copy of my cd and that didnt work either.

Maybe your CD-ROM isn't reading the disc properly? Do you have any spare optical drives that you can try out?

I tried it on my cd and dvd drive on all 3 cds and on 3 different hard drives for each cd

I had a friend come over with a brand new cd rw and the same thing happened. So should i run memtest?
