Aight, let me ask his then. I am building a system with a 4200 x2 and an x1800xt, I am shopping for RAM, I was thinking of going to 667 instead of 800 to save a few dollars. The rig is for gaming. Is there any significant reason to go 800 over 667?

I have the exact same CPU and and i got Patriot 667 mhz ram for my pc and it runs very good. It was really cheap for 2 gigs around 150$ after rebate.

That is noce to know, just ahve to hope the RAM i get likes my motherboard too, lol. (ECS KA3 MVP)

my suggestion is get the best you can and are willing to pay for. i only got C5L DDR-800 because i don't plan on OCing with this ram. if you don't OC then ram similiar to mine should be fine.

if you OC then get C4L or C3L with the best DDR-*** you can afford.

and to yoad and gaara who probably laugh at me for having XMS ;) it was the cheapest value ram i could find.
