Compatability
Today at 3:16am Hello.

In a short time I'm going to purchasing some certain products and would like to know if they are all compatable with each other.
I'm going to be custom building this PC, and so have got parts seperately. Also I'll be using this computer for loads of gaming, photoshop/C4D/imageready and lots of internet surfing/downloading.

The parts are:
PSU - Antec Phantom 500w PSU.
- Specs found at http://www.pcmaniacs.com.au/product_info.php?products_id=2163

Case - Antec PlusView 1000 AMG

Ok thats it.
If you need to also know the model of the Keyboard and Mouse then tell me, and yea!

Once again all I really need to know with this stuff is if its all compatible and if my power supply is adequate. Also I'd like to know if this system is suitable for lots of gaming and photoshop/C4D/imageready, along with internet surfing and downloading.
Thanks.

You need more memory for those types of applications. 2GB

The pentium Extreme is worthless for that price. Get a Core 2 duo instead. (fraction of price for better performance)

The motherboard (AMD) and CPU (INTEL) aren't compatible.

I would go with the PCP&P Silencer 610w PSU.

The Pentium Extreme is Dual Core.

Ill have a look at more memory and fixing up the CPU and MOBO issues.

Whats better, AMD or INTEL?

no but the core 2 duo is a better cpu overall then the one your looking at. the whole architecture is just well.. way better. and its cheaper to :), which means more money for other goodies hint (RAM).

right now intel has the upper hand the the core 2 duo. Note: they usually call it "conroe" around here. it has a way bigger cache, and less power consumtion.
