Also what happens after I buy all this stuff and its put in? I turn on the computer then what? Do I just insert the Windows CD and follow the directions and thatÂ’s all? What about the bios? Do I have to buy a bios program or how does that work? Does the mother board have a bios program built in? I am wondering how hard it is to do all the software work.

Case: CoolerMaster Centurion
Motherboard: Asus M2N-SLI
CPU: AMD 3800x2
Corsair XMS 2x1gig
Video Card: XFX 7600gt
Hard drive: WD 80 gig
DVD burner: Lite-on lightscribe
PSU: Hiper 580 Watt
Monitor: 19" DCLCD

Total is 1076.93 before shipping and taxes (if it applies) --- If it has to be under $1100 after shipping and taxes then you can use a less expensive motherboard and change the memory. I choose that specific motherboard because it has sli and i have worded with it before. On the otherhand, i choose that memory because its ddr2-800, and the board recommends a ddr2-800 standard.

I did not include a copy of windows as I see you might be able to handle that yourself, feel free to improve on the list and good luck on your build.

Note: when you put together your new computer, press Delete to get into bios, then change the boot order to CD-ROM FIRST, then harddrive 2nd. Next restart computer and press any key to boot from CD drive. Then just follow the instructions they give you, such as format a new partition and the such. Dont wrry ppl here are always willing to help a fellow techie! ;)

Memory: Here I was looking at a few options I was not sure what one to go with. Here are the three options:

OCZ Gold Series 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM Unbuffered DDR2 667 (PC2 5400) Dual Channel Kit System Memory ($179)http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?item=N82E16820227078

CORSAIR XMS2 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM Unbuffered DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit System Memory ($231)http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?item=N82E16820145590

Case: Here I was looking at two options. I will decide later what one I want. But I need to know if they are both compatible with everything that is going to be put in it.

The second one has a 500 watt PSU and the first one has a 420 watt PSU. Would the 420 watt PSU be enough or would I need to upgrade it? And would the 500 watt PSU be enough if I go with that one, or would I need to upgrade it? Also does anyone know which case is of higher quality?

And that only leave one thing left. The video card... Now I have about $200 to 300 left to spend on the card. I want one with a DVI output being that my monitor has a DVI input and the card needs to be able to play almost all of the latest games out there such as Quake 4, Hitman Bloodmoney, Half Life 2, exc. Remember this is a GAMING computer.

Also if anyone has any suggestions if I should change any of the components I have chosen, please speak out!!!

And once again please verify that everything is compatible. Especially the mother board and what not. Also I noticed that mother board has two red and yellow bays and one black one. What type of bays are the yellow and red bays and the black bay?

Also it says "DDR2 Standard DDR2 667" for the mobo. Does that mean that Corsair 800 MHz. memory would be a waste with that mobo and that I should go with 667 MHz. memory? If so should I switch mobo's? If so any suggestions?

I wouldn't use a PSU that was included with a case, its better to purchase a PSU seperately, especially if the system is going to require 500watts+. Choose a Antec, Enermax, or Mushkin PSU.

The Gigabyte mobo you chose has pcie, no agp, no need for agp either. The one I chose has two pcie, so you can have two video cards some day (SLI though).

The mobo you choose only supports up to 667 MHz. RAM. If I go with either the Corsair RAM or the RAM you suggested I will be looseing out being that they can be ran at 800 MHz. Plus that mobo is out of stock.

ewiz showed that the p5n sli will work with ddr2 800 as well, but they removed the item, plus you probably won't be able to get that mobo since everyone is out of stock at the moment, including newegg, zipzoomfly.
